AGE/GENDER/ELIGIBILITY

  • Across year R-6 (ie any or all), although recommended to split children (at least) separately into the following four categories: Year R; Years 1+2; Years 3+4; Years 5+6
  • Recommend particular focus on children who are less keen on participation in traditional team sport pursuits

PARTICIPANT NUMBERS

  • We will devise, in partnership with the client school) a structure that meets the numerical, facility, class etc needs of a given situation

DATES/TIMES

  • Flexible, subject to agreement between the client school and HDSD as provider (obviously taking into account availability of HDSD staff in linme with number required)

COST

  • To be addressed as part of the discussion with the school
  • Note that schools may wish to consider staffing some or all stations to reduce cost
  • It is also possible for HDSD just to hire the necessary equipment to schools so they can deliver entirely themselves
  • Training workshops, tailored as necessary to individual school needs, for teachers and support staff can also be provided on request to enable more independent delivery

  • Some schools will be able to facilitate indoor contingency arrangements more easily than others
  • Any necessary cancellation decision would be agrred by the client school and HDSD as the provider

  • Year 5+6 team goalkeepers are strongly recommended to wear proper hockey goalkeeping kit. If your school does not have this kit there will be some available from the organisers on the day

  • Limited parking for mini buses. Parking for teachers and children is also limited, but can park on the surrounding roads, Depot Road and Highlands road. Teams will be ushered into the pitch from parking.
